ISRO scientists have successfully completed the fifth Earth-bound manoeuvre of Chandrayaan-3, in which the spacecraft has moved further away from Earth. The orbit-raising manoeuvre will position it at 127,609km X 236 km from Earth. Achieving this orbit will set the tone for India's bid to slingshot Chandrayaan-3 towards the moon by performing the trans-lunar injection on August 1. Chandrayaan-3 will take more than five days to reach the lunar orbit after TLI and will attempt to land on August 23. The mission is expected to weigh 3,900 kgs.
