Scientists find first evidence that groups of Apes cooperate

A new study published in Science reveals that two groups of apes in Africa, specifically bonobos, regularly mingle and cooperate with each other, challenging the notion that human cooperation is unique. The bonobos, an ape species genetically distinct from chimpanzees, exhibit social behaviors such as defusing conflict with sex and forming alliances.
