11,000 years old burials reveal stone-age body piercings

Archaeologists have discovered evidence of prehistoric body piercing in human burials dating back 11,000 years. The findings shed light on the ancient practice of body augmentation and suggest cultural significance. The excavations at Boncuklu Tarla in Turkey uncovered over 100 ornamental objects used for piercings, providing the earliest evidence of body piercing in southwest Asia.
