Soon, scientists may be able to predict volcanic eruptions more accurately

Recent research led by Dr Catherine Booth from Imperial College London and the University of Bristol is refining volcanic eruption predictions by studying magma's origin points up to 20 kilometers underground. The study challenged the previous assumptions and emphasised the role of magma buoyancy, with implications for predictive models and factors like water and carbon dioxide in magma.
